Garnet is my January birthstone and I have never been a huge fan of the stone until now! This photo does not do this garnet justice. It is called faceted heishi and when the light hits it just right the garnet comes alive and sparkles. Ruby-zoisite is the natural combination of both ruby and zoisite crystals in a single specimen. It is also known as ‘anyolite’, a name derived from the Masai word for ‘green’ (anyoli). For those who know me I am pretty obsessed with the number 8. I even have it tattooed on my arm. I know a lot of you out there love threes so I have made this necklace for you. I did all the beads in groups of threes. Including coral, purple, green and blue turquoise and hill tribe pure silver plated in 22k gold. The pointy pendant is gold plated over sterling.
