This pure silver dagger comes from the Mien tribe in Northern Thailand. I did a little research and I was told that traditionally it was used as a tooth picker! It is strung with pyrite and a sterling silver clasp with a 2 inch extender.

South African Sugilite with silver rain drops. My son names my jewelry and he wanted this to be the drippy drops but I thought it was a little to much! I wear this necklace almost every day now. It is a really good one to layer or wear on its own. Also stung with gaspeite, ancient turquoise, ruby, carnelian and chrysoprase.

My son is the one who usually names all the jewelry so one day I go and ask him what I should name this new design. My daughter Zoey began to cry, “why does River always get to name the jewelry?” She was very upset so I let her do this one. The coral is apple coral so she thought it looked like apple cores. I like it. I also used Hilltribe silver, rubies, 4000 year old turquoise, sleeping beauty turquoise, wooly mammoth, sugilite and czech crystal. The pendant is from Tibet with turquoise and coral.

Each year I go out to Tucson Bead show looking for unique beads. I have been doing it so long that not much excites me anymore. This past year the one item which made me so excited was this strand of Heishi cut Ruby beads. For those who know me I am pretty obsessed with the number 8. I even have it tattooed on my arm. I know a lot of you out there love threes so I have made this necklace for you. I did all the beads in groups of threes. Including coral, purple, green and blue turquoise and hill tribe pure silver. I happen to like threes because if you take an 8 and chop it in half it is a 3!
