I have been using 2000 year old Roman glass beads for many years. Usually they come in a green or blue color. When I found these brown ones, I was very excited and I made the bracelet and wore it for a few months when I noticed the brown was coming off to reveal the typical blue to green color of Roman Glass. I have no idea why this happens but I really love the transition it has taken on. ( I will add a photo of the change in the near future.) The other beads include turquoise, apple coral, crazy lace agate, brass and ruby. The glass is found in Afghanistan and is broken pieces of vessels made into beads. Here are some of the bottles made of the Roman glass.
